We manufacture some of our inventory with our own sawmill & dry kilns. We have found over the years that not every species, thickness and grade is efficiently produced with our own equipment, so we also bring in lumber from other manufacturers that meet our quality standards.
The unique colors and grains of many imported woods make them popular for use in a variety of projects. The woods we have come from many different areas of the world, and we try to bring in species that have some special characteristics.
We sell hardwood plywood in a variety of species and thicknesses, including Baltic Birch, and Marine Grade plywood for boat building.
Our largest product line has always been hardwood lumber for cabinets and furniture making. We stock many varieties of domestic & imported woods in thicknesses from 3/8" to 2" or more.
Whether you turn bowls, small vessels, pens or spindles, we have a variety of stock both domestic and imported that can be used on your lathe.
Our lumber is sold rough sawn, but many of our customers find that it makes sense to have us do some of the preliminary machining. We have planers, straight line rip saws, wide belt sanders & a resaw machine.
The biggest and best Basswood and Butternut trees are sawn into carving stock. All blocks are kiln dried & cut to avoid pith (the center of the tree) which makes them more stable.
This area of our website talks about, and shows a variety of interesting grains, colors and patterns that are sometimes found in wood.
Everyone enjoys a shaded, tree lined street. When these trees need to be removed, they can still be turned into useful Urban Lumber
